Capital punishment does not achieve its intended effect. the entire concept was created on the basis of the deterring of crime. However, no one sees these criminals die and therefore they are not deterred from anything. If only the government would return to the Roman idea of crucifixion, capital punishment may actually become a preventer of violent crime. Lining the interstates with rotting corpses nailed to wooden crosses with signs presenting their crimes would cause mankind to actually take a minute to think before they perform a heinous act.

Capitalism? What a grand idea!

Welcome to America. This is the world's success in the theory of capitalism. A wonderful place where the government inspires its people to succeed, America has an overwhelming abundance of citizens that endeavor to become rich. By limiting the abilities of job placement to high school graduates, the government makes higher learning a must. Those citizens that conform and attend college will make more money and be happier right? Wrong. These citizens will work outrageous hours, never see their families, and in turn will pay more taxes due to their wealth. This way the government can sponsor the next generation's collegiate hopefuls with 'financial support' and in turn... make more money. Tah-dah kiddies, its capitalism at its height.
